Several months ago, there was an emergency move of the website
"mrmicrophone.com" to a new server. Unfortunately,
even though the
e-mail address of mrmic@kcnet.com shows on each page of the
website, until recently, the mail was still being directed
to the old e-mail address
(mrmic@sound.net) which was on a defunct server. Much
and many apologies to those of you who attempted to e-mail
from the website. The mail was never received and consequently
no answer was sent to you. The situation has been corrected.
Sorry and THANK YOU!
Mr. Microphone will be appearing again this year at the
Buckeye Harmonica Festival in Columbus, Oh. The dates are
04/21/05 through 04/23/05. It is always a super good
time for all involved. Plan on attending and I look forward
to helping with microphone/amplifier questions as the "on
site technical consultant." Remember, no question will
go unanswered. If I don't have the answer, "I'll just
make something up......" Information available at
http://www.spah.org/EVENTS.HTM
New mics pics have been added to "PICS" page
three. Very unique and one of a kind.
The international SPAH Convention is taking place in St.
Louis, Missouri
from August 17th through August 21st. Below is the
schedule of events and performances. Additional information
can be obtained through www.SPAH.org You are encouraged
to join the organization and certainly to attend the convention.
Mr. Microphone will be hosting a seminar on 8/18 at 16:00
hours at the SPAH. The seminar concerns "Mics,
Amps, and Tone for Chromatic and Diatonic" Dennis Gruenling
has graciously agreed to co-host.
The following link will take you to the SPAH schedule of
events and
performances SPAH Schedule.
Mr. Microphone will be attending the Buckeye Harmonica Festival
from
04/14/04 through 04/17/04 and will be the on site mic and
amp consultant.
If you can see me, I am working. Very much looking forward
to seeing so
many friends and making new ones!
Also, on the travel itinerary, the SPAH International convention
in St.
Louis, MO. which takes place from 08/18 through 08/21/04.
If any way
possible, you should plan to attend. The experience of being
amongst so
many incredible players will leave a good taste in your
psyche that will
last to the '05 SPAH convention. There are playing opportunities
and
seminars that will allow much information on techniques,
stylings, methods,
and awesome "shows" each evening buy the greatest
players on this planet.
Much and many apologies for not being able to attend the
'03 in Dallas TX
and to those specifically who made plans to share an eye
to eye. No one was more disappointed than myself.
Finally, I'd like to see your smiling faces at the Bean
Blossom Festival in
Nashville IN. 09/10 through 09/12. John Hall sponsors a
total quality blues
event, with more good music than should be allowed by law.
Please don't
tell your legislators, or they will pass one. I have a feeling
they "pass
one" more often than not, but then again, they don't
shut up long enough to
build up any pressure. Nuff' of 'dat.
Can gas prices really be the reason all my suppliers took
an increase in
everything I buy? Not sure if it's that or the long chain
of corporate
greed (ha!...I'm not incorporated and I'm not cool with
greed) but there
will have to be some price increases in the near future
on da Mr Mic stuff
'cause I'm starting to have a hard time paying everybody
that needs paid.
Me and my schizophrenic selves believe we are providing
a much needed and quality service to all harpsters that
check in. So if I may speak for the
hundreds of tonally satisfied clients, please "understand"
any price
increases that are sure to come. Sorry, but I just "got
my paper together"
for da TaxDewd and I'm not making enough to make sense.
Nuff' of 'dat, too.
Finally, once again, much thanks to all who understand
the interminable
production time. Your loyalty, confidence, and the expressed
appreciation
in dealing with DJ's is my driving force and reason de etre.
From a
customer service standpoint...."DJ's goes the extra
mile to make you smile." Smiling is contagious....pass
one on to someone else! :)
The Bean Blossom
Festival in Nashville, Indiana was a total quality musical
event! Would strongly suggest that you attend in 2004. You
will spend three days in paradise listening to incredibly
fine Blues and Rock. Mr. Microphone gives it 37 thumbs
up!
DJ's is proud
to announce the offering of 24k gold plating in addition
to laser graphics on your mics!
Be sure to check
the new professional quality microphone pictures on page 3
of "Pics."
DJ's is pleased
to announce that after a long hiatus from updates to this
site there will be more attention to regular updates both
in text and photos. Mr. Microphone retired from his
day job of thirty years and is now devoting full time efforts
to DJ's Custom Electronics. Working only one job has
effectively reduced "turn around" time from months
to weeks. Much and many thanks to all of you who have been
so very patient waiting for completion of your jobs. Your
business, patience, confidence, and friendships are so very
much appreciated!
DJ's is ecstatic
to have enlisted the varied and multi-talents of Ms. Jackie
Rae for her most capable assistance in updating this website.
Due to the volume
of business DJ's is pretty much running 24/7 so feel free
to call as operators (that's me and my schizophrenic selves)
are standing by to take your calls! For those of you
that have requested "special devices and gizmos,"
the wait is still on as the R&D department is still
very much behind in development. Daily production
remains strong and there is little time for R&D for
some of the more exotic requests. Special"adaptations"
dealing with individual mod requests are still being implemented
on a specific job basis so don't be afraid to ask for the
same.
Mr. AND Mrs.
Microphone will be in attendance at the following events
in 2003. They are all top quality productions and
you will be sure to have a wonderful time not to mention
gaining insight and knowledge. (Yeah, I know, insight
and knowledge scares me, too.) Please lend your support
to these fine organizations and come by to say "Hey!"
